DIY garden shed/Playhouse

If you want to create a great childrens play area in your garden then you dont have to begin with building your own diy shed straight away, you can begin with a standard square playhouse or a prefabricated shed which are available in most home improvement stores.

But a well planned and designed DIY garden shed come playhouse can be a fantasy world for your children, somewhere they can be entertained for hours and hours at a time. If you have young boys for example you could build the DIY playhouse into a mini childrens shed workshop. You could include storage areas for your little boys toy hammers and saws and you will probably find he will imitate you while take on your diy garden shed building projects.

For girls you can turn a DIY garden shed project into a mini dolls house, complete with wardrobes and even a kitchen. With the right type of shed plan your shed design can be anything from a dolls house to a fantasy fairy castle.

A playhouse though can differ from a standard DIY garden shed because you can include two levels in your shed design to simulate an “upstairs” and “downstairs”. Your shed plan should also sho you how to build safe ladders and how to fix them securely to accomodate this type of shed design.

One final point I would like to emphasise if you intending on building a two level playhouse which is this; Please ensure that when you reach the top higher windows in your shed design, to ensure that they are to small for a child to fall out of or fit through. This is usually done by crossing the main frame into four smaller squares.

Your DIY garden shed/office

With todays stressful climate where our free time, our hobby time is at an all time low due to more work, a classy outdoor diy garden shed can be priceless! with rising prices and higher tax, less money but more commitments we spend more and more of our time at home. What if you work from home?

For more and more people and outdoor shed that has been built with an office space in mind can be an excellent stress reliever. Imagine sitting at your work desk with the doors and windows open on a beautiful sunny day, surrounded by the familiarity of your garden plants and flowers. Listening to the birds and the bees in your garden as you relax and take it all in giving you a sense of peace, freedom and pleasure at your wonderful working location.

Anyone who works from home knows how important it is to have a seperate office. Usually that means a spare bedroom to put your desk and computer in and sometimes you even have to take the basement as your office.

Your own office space needs to be away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the family goings on.

An outdoor garden shed made into an office has become extremely popular because unlike an office inside your home, it doesnt make you feel caged in or trapped and boxed in. An excellent shed plan can show you step by step instructions and illustrations showing detailed shed blueprints enabling you to find an outdoor shed/office design which will suit your requirements perfectly.
